It is said that Sophia Loren, this amazing woman, drinks two spoons of olive oil every day and that she baths in water with olive oil. Just add a few olive oil spoons to your bathing water and you will have a nicely moist and soft skin.

It has been proven that olive oil has the same anti-inflammatory properties as ibuprofen because of a substance called oleocanthal. Therefore, it can be helpful in the redness caused by acne and in the treatment of other skin irritations like eczema.

Olive oil is considered one of the best hair masks. Due to its great content in natural fatty acids olive oil has exceptional moisturizing properties. Just a few drops can make your hair softer and shinier. It also protects from the styling products and blow-dryer heat. It’s a wonderful solution for strong and healthy nails and even to remove make up at the end of the day.

Olive oil is rich in vitamins like vitamin A and E as well as minerals and trace elements and is a main ingredient in anti-aging masks and face creams. Mix some olive spoons, lemon, honey and egg which is full in protein. Leave the mask on your face for 5 – 10 minutes. It will cure and soften your skin leaving it glowing.

Olive oil helps our organisms both in the inside and the outside. It’s the corner stone of Mediterranean diet offering very delicious foods but also many beauty secrets. At the same time, it strengthens our bodies and protects us against many diseases.
